The MOVE of the day!

I don't know about you, but I don't start my day out wanting to be stressed. No I don't. What I do know is that when STRESS comes my way, I know how to reset my body. Now, don't get me wrong. I didn't always know what to do. I would stew in it all day, only to find myself feeling terrible by the end of the day. I couldn't even fall asleep.

Here's what I have learned. Breathing can help you reset your vagus nerve and this MOVE.

Childs pose has many benefits to it such as relieving tension in your back, boosts blood circulation, aids in digestion, opens up your hips, and massages your internal organs. If you need an ENERGY boost, this is the MOVE. Calming the mind is often something we need when we are in the MOMENT. In this pose you are going inward, you naturally will release stress and quiet the mind.

Give yourself a HUG. A 10-second hug sends a strong message to your body and brain. A quick act of self-care that promotes relaxation and lowers levels of cortisol (stress hormone) in your body.

These two power moves will help relieve stress and tension.

A combination of poses, breathing, and meditation produces structural changes in the brain.
